Disadvantages:
● Water absorption: PA6 easily absorbs moisture, resulting in decreased dimensional stability and electrical properties. Therefore, it needs to be dried before use to remove moisture from the material.
● Poor thermal stability: PA6 has relatively poor thermal stability and is prone to thermal decomposition and oxidation at high temperatures, resulting in decreased performance. Therefore, it is necessary to control the processing temperature and heat exposure time when using it.
● General impact resistance: Although PA6 has certain impact resistance, its impact resistance is general compared with some other engineering plastics, and may not meet some applications with high impact requirements.
● High cost: The raw material price of PA6 is relatively high, and the temperature, humidity and other conditions need to be controlled during the processing, which increases the production cost.

● By adding 15%~50% glass fiber reinforcement, the operating temperature of PA6 can be increased to 199℃.
● Water absorption: PA6 is the PA with the highest water absorption rate, with poor dimensional stability and affecting electrical properties (breakdown voltage).
● Solubility resistance: Its impact resistance and solubility resistance are better than PA66, but its hygroscopicity is also stronger.
