● High temperature resistance: PEEK material has a high glass transition temperature and melting point (334℃), load heat deformation temperature is as high as 316℃, continuous use temperature can reach 260℃, and can even maintain excellent performance at a high temperature of 300℃.
● Mechanical properties: PEEK rods have high strength, high modulus, high fracture toughness and excellent dimensional stability. Its toughness and rigidity are balanced, and its fatigue resistance is outstanding among all plastics, comparable to alloy materials.
● Chemical resistance: PEEK rods are resistant to chemicals, wear and hydrolysis. Among common chemicals, only concentrated sulfuric acid can dissolve or destroy it. Its corrosion resistance is similar to that of nickel steel.
● Flame retardancy: Without the use of any additives, the flammability rating of a 1.45mm thick PEEK sample is UL94 V-0, and the amount of smoke and toxic gas during combustion is particularly low.
